The Fulton Pirates have a current five game winning streak and are 5-2 on the season.
Ian Lamkin is a strong perimeter defender and can get hot from the three point line. Bryson Sattler is another tough perimeter defender for the Pirates. Parker Billings is the man in the middle who provides scoring, rebounding and strong post defense. Thomas Thelen is another good post defender who is a great glue guy for the Pirates as he sets screens and does a lot of the unsung things every good team needs. Peyton Reynolds is another quality post defender for the Pirates. Parker Duflo is a strong perimeter defender who is a fine shooter and ball handler.
The Ithaca Yellowjackets enter this game with a 2-4 record. Yellowjacket Coach Josh Rayburn gave me the following information about his Yellowjacket players. Ryley White is a quick, tough perimeter defender. Freshman Gibson Rondy is a versatile scorer who slashes to the basket well and is also a big threat from the three point line. Jackson Conn is a fine ball handler and three point shooter. Kaleb Hallock is a team captain who provides energy to the Yellowjacket post defense and is a strong rebounder and scorer in the post. Carter Able is also a fine defender, rebounder and scorer in the post.
Preslee Chaffin is a strong perimeter defender with a solid three point shot. Collin Thrush can score on slashes to the basket. Jackson O’Neil is a fine three point shooter who also provides leadership to the Yellowjackets. Bryson LeBaron can hit the three point shot. Nathan Mikesell is a tough rebounder and defender in the post. Looyd Stonman also provides good post defense.
It is now time to report the events of this contest through the occasionally vigilant eyes of an ever-aging Bleacher Denizen who was never able to rise above church league when he attempted to hoop in the days of yore. Until the Basketball Powers that Be banned his jet propulsion belt, he was known for running a speedy fast break. After the ban, alas, shall we just say that no hare was ever again threatened by the Bleacher Denizen in a race.
Ithaca wins the opening tap. The Yellowjackets misfire on a threeball from the side. Carter Adle steals the ball and gets it to Kaleb Hallock, who hits a fast break layup to give Ithaca the first two points of the game. Fulton misses a threeball from the top of the key. Parker Billings pulls down the offensive rebound for the Pirates. Fulton misses a layup; the rebound goes out of bounds and the Pirates get the ball back. Bryson Sattler passes to Parker Duflo, who hits a three point shot from the side for Fulton. Ithaca turns the ball over. Ian Lamkin hits a ten foot shot from the baseline to give Fulton a 5-2 lead.
Gibson Rondy hits a layup for Ithaca. Fulton turns the ball over. Gibson Rondy drives and hits a layup to give the Yellowjackets a one point lead. Fulton misses a twelve footer off the dribble from the side of the lane. Kaleb Hallock passes to Carter Adle, who hits a layup to give Ithaca an 8-5 lead.
Jackson Conn knocks a Fulton pass out of bounds; Fulton retains possession. Ryley White knocks a Pirate pass out of bounds; Fulton retains possession. Fulton misfires on a threeball from the top of the key. Carter Adle is fouled on a fast break layup and hits two free throws to give his Yellowjackets a 10-5 lead with 4:43 remaining in the opening quarter.

Ithaca commits an offensive foul. Carter Adle nearly steals the ball for the Yellowjacket’s but it goes out of bounds and the Pirates get another opportunity. Preslee Chaffin and Gibson Rondy double team a Fulton ball handler and cause a traveling violation. Jackson Conn passes to Gibson Rondy, who throws in a threeball from the top of the key to give Ithaca a 24-9 lead.
Parker Billings passes to Ian Lamkin, who knocks down a threeball from the corner for Fulton. Ian Lamkin knocks the ball away from Ithaca and Connor Cunningham picks it up for Fulton. Ian Lamkin drives and hits a ten foot shot from the side of the lane. He is fouled on the play and makes his free throw to pare the Ithaca lead to 24-15 with 5:12 remaining in quarter number two.

Ithaca misses a three point shot from the wing. Gibson Rondy snags the offensive rebound for the Yellowjackets. Carter Adle hits a putback to give Ithaca a 28-15 lead.
Gibson Rondy knocks the ball away from Fulton and Bryson LeBaron picks it up for Ithaca. Ian Lamkin dives and secures a loose ball for Fulton. (Fulton’s Coach calls timeout to preserve the possession.) Collin Thrush knocks the ball away from Fulton and Carter Adle grabs it for Ithaca. Jackson Conn passes to Carter Adle, who hits a layup for Ighaca. Ryley White’s tight defense forces Fulton to throw a pass out of bounds. Ryley White passes to Carter Adle, who hits a two foot shot from the side to give Ithaca a 32-15 lead.
Bryson Sattler passes to Parker Hungerford, who hits a layup for Fulton. Ithaca is called for travelling. Parker Duflo passes to Ian Lamkin, who hits a three point shot from the wing to trim the Ithaca lead to 32-20.
