Portland St. Patrick at Perry – – Baseball – – First Game of Doubleheader – – The Bleacher Denizen – – April 16, 2025 – – by Chuck Krafft
Today, your Bleacher Denizen is headed to Perry where the Ramblers will host the Shamrocks from Portland St. Patrick in a baseball doubleheader. This is the first time I have visited Perry’s baseball field. It looks pretty well-maintained!
It’s a sunny day, but pretty cold. Your Bleacher Denizen should probably have added one more sweater, but he hopes to tough it out.
I hope you will enjoy this original tune from my You Tube Channel as we wait for the game to begin!!

The Coach and I had some great philosophical conversations on the bench.

Ben White beat out an infield single as Brayden Simon advanced to third base. Ben White beat out an infield single; Brayden Simon had to hold at third base. St. Patrick added five runs in the bottom of the second inning to boost its lead to 10-0.
(Your Bleacher Denizen had a senior moment taking notes in the top of the second inning and had to consult the St. Patrick scorer to see what happened. There may be a minor error, but I think the description is pretty close to what happened.)
Wyatt Patrick ignored the Bleacher Denizen’s concentration lapse and beat out an infield single to lead off the bottom of the second inning for Perry. Brady Leonard struck out the next three Rambler hitters to end the inning.
