Fowler at Pewamo-Westphalia – – Baseball – – Second Game of Doubleheader – – The Bleacher Denizen – – May 15, 2025 – – by Chuck Krafft
Today, your Bleacher Denizen is at Pewamo-Westphalia to cover the baseball doubleheader between the hometown Pirates and the Eagles of Fowler! This is Game Two of the doubleheader; I also covered the opening game. Here is the link to the story of that game! https://thebleacherdenizen.com/2025/05/16/fowler-at-pewamo-westphalia-baseball-first-game-of-doubleheader-the-bleacher-denizen-may-15-2025-by-chuck-krafft/
Your Bleacher Denizen made possibly the longest bathroom walk ever between games of a high school doubleheader and got back to Fowler’s dugout (where I watched the games) in time to write out the starting lineups. In this game, even though we are near Westphalia, Fowler will be the home team. While your Bleacher Denizen can be challenged by this, the umpires, players and fans all seem to be okay with it, so it will be up to your Bleacher Denizen to adapt.
Here are the starting lineups. For this game, P-W (As your Bleacher Denizen has a lot of typing to do, we will abbreviate “Pewamo-Westphalia” most of the time in the hopes of preventing carpal tunnel.) will be the “visiting team” and bat first.
