Dansville at Waverly – – First Game of Baseball Doubleheader – – The Bleacher Denizen – – April 19, 2024 – – by Chuck Krafft
Today, your Bleacher Denizen’s journey takes him to Waverly High, where the Warriors will host the Aggies from Dansville in a baseball doubleheader! (Someday, your Bleacher Denizen hopes to earn the credentials necessary to refer to his travels as an odyssey!!! I figure I might even eventually earn “gravitas” if I can get to that point.)
This is the first time I have come to Waverly in a couple years. After an encounter with an unrelenting locked gate, a lady waiting to pick her child up from school pointed out that I would have much better luck with another entrance, so I now find myself at Waverly’s baseball field in their beautiful new press box! Waverly Coach Sherry (and the catcher’s mom) greeted me and got me the starting lineups.
Waverly is the home team and will bat last. Here are the starting lineups!
