Carson City-Crystal at Fowler – – Football – – The Bleacher Denizen – – August 26, 2022 – – by Chuck Krafft

Well, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, the Bleacher Denizen has headed north to Fowler to blog their football game for the first post of the 2022-23 school year. Perhaps I shouldn’t compare myself to the valiant Phoenix. It’s possible that the Glow Worm like from this video on my You Tube Channel is a bit more of an apt description in my case.

The Fowler Eagles and Carson City-Crystal Eagles are both playing their first game of the season and hoping to win the Weber Eagle trophy to take back to their school. Last year, CCC won the trophy and took it home.

If the Bleacher Denizen has done his math correctly, this probably means each team is 0-0 to start the game! Alas, it also means that Eagles are fighting each other; in the sky, that could cause some serious problems. On the field, I hope it means that these teams will put on a great game!

I’d also like to extend some hopes and prayers in the direction of Basketball All-State Guard Emma Riley, who severely injured her ankle in a volleyball game yesterday. We are all pulling for you to get through this, Emma!!

The Fowler band started off the festivities by doing a fine job with the Fowler Fight Song and the National Anthem.
