Hall of Fame All-Star Softball Game – – East vs. West – – The Bleacher Denizen – – June 23, 2026 – – by Chuck Krafft
Today, your Bleacher Denizen is at Ranney Park to watch as the East faces off against the West. Your Bleacher Denizen was fond of spy movies during the Cold War and was worried about getting caught in the struggle between the East and the West. As with the event earlier tonight, your Bleacher Denizen was elated to learn that this is an All-Star softball game and not another Cold War incident!
Here are the starting lineups. Everyone on the roster with be in the batting order. Because the players will be going in and out of the fielding group, I will not include the positions they played.
It is now time to learn of the events of this game through the occasionally alert eyes of an Aging Bleacher Denizen who was never able to get his softball career off to much of a start. His innovative approach to outfield play was not appreciated by his coach. To avoid being bruised by falling softballs in the air, he developed a strategy that allowed the ball to drop to the field where he could safely pick it up.
Here are the rosters for the two teams.

Your Bleacher Denizen had a flawless record of not being injured by so much as one fly ball during the softball season.
