The Bleacher Denizen is at Morrice getting ready to cover the second game of this doubleheader. Here is the play by play of the first game! https://thebleacherdenizen.com/2024/05/14/portland-st-patrick-at-morrice-first-game-of-softball-doubleheader-the-bleacher-denizen-may-13-2024-by-chuck-krafft/
Here are the starting lineups for Game 2. The coaches conferred and decided that even though we are in Morrice, that the Morrice Orioles will be the visiting team and bat first. The Bleacher Denizen’s somewhat simple mind boggles, although everyone else at the field does seem to get the concept.
Here are the events of this game as seen through the eyes of an unsuccessful baseball/softball wannabe whose career never really got off the ground. Alas, everything was ruined when the powers that be denied me permission to put an explosive charge in my bat. After that, no ball I ever hit got past the pitcher. Sometimes life just does not work out – – – !
