Coach Gabe Sowa gave me the following information about his Bee players.

Aubri Torok is a complete all-around player who scores well driving to the basket and can hit the open shot. This year, she is doing a lot more of the point guard work and is handling the additional ball handling and passing with aplomb! She is also a fierce perimeter defender who is tall enough to help in the post.

Anna Schaibly is a great three point shooter who is also a strong perimeter defender. Anna Poppema is a tall perimeter defender who can also help in the post when needed. On offense, she is a solid three point shooter. Olivia Brimley is tough in the post where she scores, rebounds and defends well. Aubrey Dunckel is a versatile defender who can play on the perimeter or in the post. She is a strong rebounder and can shoot the three point shot.

Maci MccCrimmon is a tall guard who defends really well on the perimeter and can create turnovers. Quinn Chamberlain is a fine three point shooter. Jordyn Lira is a good post defender and rebounder. Eva Arambula brings intense defense to the wing position.

I actually got this information from Laingsburg Assistant Coaches Norm Holm and Alex Randall as Coach Daniel Morrill was when I covered the earlier Bath/Laingsburg game.

Brooklyn Holm is a fine all around player who is quick and agile enough to defend the perimeter, but also strong enough to defend and rebound in the post. She is also a strong ball handler and passer who makes good decisions and is tough to keep from scoring when she drives to the basket or shoots from the three point line.

Payge Woodworth runs the point for Laingsburg. She is a good ball handler, passer and perimeter defender who can hit shots from the three point line. LilliAnn Morrill is a tough defender, rebounder and scorer in the post. Mallory Woodbury has a great basketball IQ, which makes her defense a problem for Wolfpack opponents. She plays mostly in the post where she is an excellent defender and rebounder. She is almost never out of position. On offense, she is a versatile scorer who can shoot the three point shot or drive to the basket.

Harper Strouse is an excellent athlete who has long arms; she causes a lot of turnovers for opposing offenses with her perimeter defense. Kyleigh Luna is a speedy, active and determined perimeter defender. Savvy Stirm brings a lot of energy to the Wolfpack defense when she comes into the game.

It is senior night in Laingsburg. The Wolfpack saluted its only senior, Kyleigh Luna and named the Bath seniors as well.

It is now time to look at the results of this game through the aging, but occasionally clear lenses of an aging Bleacher Denizen who was never able to escape church league when he tried to play basketball in the days of yore. He was showing tremendous promise as a shot blocker, but, alas, the basketball powers that be ruled he was no longer able to use his pogo stick when playing defense. When opposing offenses started making layups in bunches over the ground-bound Bleacher Denizen, his playing time disappeared quickly.
