The Spartan boys and the Shamrock boys will also play tonight. Webberville enters the game with an 11-1 record while St. Patrick is at 7-3.

Webberville Coach Tony Rhodes provided me with this information about his Spartan players.
Dominic Driver is a dynamic scorer who can hit the threeball, overpower people to score in the post or slash to the basket. He is also a physical defender who can work in the post or on the perimeter. Dylan Rhodes is a versatile guard who defends the perimeter well. He has experience running the point where he is a fine passer and ball handler. This year he is playing at the shooting guard where he can hit the threeball or score on drives to the basket.
Daxten Feguer is a defensive stopper who typically guards the opponent’s best scorer whether he plays in the perimeter or in the post. He is also a tough rebounder and can hit the three point shot. Camdyn Bucchanon runs the point for the Spartans. He is a too passer and leader who can hit the three point shot. He is a good perimeter defender and also helps with the Spartans’ rebounding.
St. Patrick Coach Curtis Meyers provided me with this information about his Shamrock players.
Charlie Thelen is just coming back from an injury. He is a quality athlete who can defend in the post or on the perimeter. On offense, he handles the ball well and has a great three point shot. He also rebounds well and can score on putbacks or drives to the basket.
Jerryd Scheurer is an outstanding point guard who handles the ball, passes well and is an outstanding perimeter defender. He is really creative with his passing, ball handling and drives to the basket. He is a threat to score either on slashes to the basket or from the three point line.
Brady Leonard is another athletic player who has the quickness to defend the perimeter well and the toughness to compete in the post. He is a great leader who can slash to the basket to score as well as hitting shots from the three point line. Tyler Thelen is a post player who defends and rebounds well. On offense, he has some good post moves for scoring and hits his share of putbacks.
Mason Simon is a fine perimeter defender who brings toughness to the Shamrocks. Aiden Mosser is a strong player who can defend the perimeter or the post. He is also a good rebounder. Sean Fedewa is a tall player who defends well in the post. He can also step out to shoot the three point shot. Isaiah Rockey defends the post well and is a solid rebounder.
I was here in time to see the last part of the JV game. St. Patrick entered the fourth quarter with a 34-31 lead. The game stayed close until St. Patrick got a 40-34 lead with 1:55 left in the game when Reed Boyd hit a free throw. Webberville scored only two more points the rest of the way while St. Patrick made five free throws. St. Patrick won the JV game by the final score of 45-36.
Nathan West led the Webberville JVs with 11 points and Cole Morris supported him with 10 points. Mathias Singh totaled 6 points; Connor Acker scored 5 points and Levi Howard had 4 points.
Reed Boyd led the Shamrock JVs with 21 points. Emmet Fandel contributed 13 points. Shane Smith added 4 points. Nolan Schafer, Liam Mosser and Simon Fedewa each put in 2 points and Gavin Darling tallied 1 point.
It is now time to review this game through the someone clear lenses of an Aging Bleacher Denizen who was never able to escape church league in the days of yore. He was showing great promise as a shot blocker, but everything fell apart when the basketball powers that be ruled he was no longer able to use his Pogo stick during games. Alas, as the Bleacher Denizen’s blocked shots went down, opponents interior scoring went up and the Bleacher Denizen’s playing time disappeared.
