The Webberville Spartan boys bring an 8-4 record into tonight’s game. The Genesee Wolves are at 6-3.

The Webberville boys are led by Nate Lott, a four year varsity starter and 1000 point scorer. He is a player who really can’t be defined by statistics. He has phenomenal poise, fantastic body control and an amazing capacity for constantly making good decisions. He controls the ball most of the time and always gets it to the right place when needed. He can score on drives to the basket or shoot from the three point line. He is an aggressive defender on the perimeter and is tall enough to stop opponents in the post when needed.

Kolson Lycos gives the Spartans a second high octane player that is capable of scoring 30 points any night if his team needs it. He has incredible energy and is always a factor in things on offense or on defense. He has incredible defensive intensity and rebounds really well. On offense, he attacks the basket with incredible aggression. Anyone who dares to stand in and take a charging foul will undergo a formidable collision. He is a fine ball handler and passer who can also hit shots from the three point line.

Caleb Howard is a fine perimeter defender who slashes to the basket well. Tate Mills and Max Mills are fearless defenders, especially on the perimeter, who back down from no one. Riley Kingsley is a fine rebounder and scorer in the lane. Chase Abner is a tall guy who is quick enough to defend the perimeter and can also stop people in the post. On offense, he slashes to the basket well and can get hot from the three point line.

Genesee Coach Jack Gallery was generous with his time and information about his Wolves team. Alton Davis is a quick, athletic player who scores a lot of points; he actually gets his share of triple doubles. On defense, he can defend the perimeter or the post. His athleticism causes a lot of turnovers for his opponents. Levi Wheeler has a nice stroke from the three point line.

Maurion Fransioli is a fine defender on the perimeter who can also help out in the post. On offense, he attacks the basket well. James Winn is a good rebounder and defender in the post who brings a fine midrange shot to Genesee.
